An escrow service is a company that acts as an intermediate between buyers and sellers, such that transactions are completed safely and fairly. I'm quoting from Escrow.com:
How does it work?
- Buyer and Seller Agree to Terms
Both parties agree to terms of the transaction, which includes a description of the merchandise, sale price, number of days for the Buyer's inspection, and any shipping information.
- Buyer Pays Escrow.com
The Buyer submits a payment, selecting check, money order, wire transfer, or credit card online. Escrow.com verifies the payment. Processing time varies by payment method.
- Seller Ships Merchandise
Upon payment verification, the Seller is authorized to ship merchandise and submit tracking information. Escrow.com verifies that the Buyer receives the shipment.
- Buyer Accepts the Merchandise
The Buyer has a set number of days for an inspection and the option to accept or reject the merchandise. For more information, FAQs - Return Questions.
- Escrow.com Pays the Seller
Escrow.com pays the Seller by check or wire transfer. The transaction is complete.

In order to be able to use escrow.com the buyer has to register at http://escrow.com, which only takes a couple of minutes. I will initiate the escrow and will walk you though the process at your request.

An escrow service should be licensed and accredited and it's website should provide a means to check this. For escrow.com see their licensed and accredited page.
If you want to buy an artwork that is priced under USD 5000 (i.e. the artprints), then you can pay by credit card. If you want to buy a painting that is priced over USD 5000, then payment occurs by wire transfers, money orders, personal or company checks, or cashier´s checks, see
